Always focused on business growth, our founder gained experience in various functions, industries, and regions. Starting with 23 years, 11 positions, and 9 promotions with DuPont de Nemours. She led multiple global and regional businesses, P/L up to $150 million in the US, Europe and Globally. Using corporate best practice methodologies, Kimberly created and established new businesses, led turn-arounds and designed regional expansions. Her experience also includes management of sales, marketing, technical service, and R&D functions. She was a corporate product development consultant, quality consultant and regional development expert. Industry experience covers electronics, chemicals, plastics, specialty materials, biotechnology, coatings, and specialty consumer products.
As a corporate regional market development manager for DuPont de Nemours in Central Europe, she designed a growth structure for 26 dissimilar businesses in 18 diverse countries. Creating the role of Country Expert, then hired, and trained a team, using an optimized process for researching and expanding into new markets. This approach eliminates expensive structure, utilizes targeted processes, and leverages LOCAL knowledge.
This assignment also raised the importance of culture in business development and well-performing teams. Kimberly began studying recent studies on international culture’s affect on sales, leadership, and teams. This changed the way that she approach market growth and all her international communications.
These best practices resulted in 20%/year growth for 4 years in a row and inspired the creation of European Market Link.
Export Speaker & Business Trainer
Kimberly developed presentation skills and training experience in her early career, as a product spokesman and internal trainer. Her experience includes multiple television appearances, radio interviews, and leading numerous corporate meetings and events. Today, she shares her experiences, knowledge, and best practices at company events, associations meetings, universities and training events. She also teaching presentation training workshops, coaching speakers for events, and prepares TEDx speakers.
Kimberly’s education started in technology, then grew into sales, and international business leadership. Her university degrees include a Masters of Arts in Cross Cultural Communications with honors, Summa Cum Laude, and a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering. During her career, she attended numerous communication, leadership and business training courses, including exporting, distribution, marketing strategy, negotiations, presentation skills, culture training, and finance. And even today, her training continues to bring clients best practices.
